Description:
Allison, Rob, and I went for a longer dive on Beto's Reef. We broke their X-scooters in...now that they have some scratches in their paint, they can really start diving! It was a pretty dark day, as you will see in the video. Rob's pictures and Allison's report are posted on CWK .

This is what a NO-DIVE day looks like at Carmel River Beach. The surf zone was over 400 feet long and the waves were coming in anywhere from 8 to 20 feet tall!

Smoke On The Water

Description:
Rob, Allison, Kevin, Jonathan, and I rode out on X-scooters to The Road. We found a nice set of ridges and Rob started shooting photos while I shot video. There was a significant amount of surge, so the panning shots were unintentional, but they really give a feel for what the conditions were like. This was my first major dive with the new Salvo dual 35W video lights. Fantastic color!

The Road to Twin Peaks

Description:
Jonathan, Nils, Doc Wong, Warren, and I rode out most of the way to Twin Peaks. Twin Peaks was the goal but we wound up stopping a little short just to check out the diversity of life along the deeper parts of The Road.

Point Lobos With The Lees

Rob and Allison (of Cold Water Kitty fame) and I rode out to the Granite Point Pinnacles on X-scooters. We spent some time at the Whale Bones and most of our time out at a single pinnacle that rises from the sand at 95' up to about 60' at the top. Beautiful clear water, millions of tiny krill, and a bonus visit to Itchy & Scratchy.

Tech 1 Experience Dive

Description:
AG asked me to video his T1 class's experience dive at Point Lobos. We rode X-scooters out to Twin Peaks. The most exciting part of the dive was finding a Humboldt Squid in about 150' of water along the back side of The Road. Absolutely phenomenal to find a 3-4' squid that shallow and get it on video! I stayed well away from it!

Twin Peaks

Jonathan, Nils, and I rode out to Twin Peaks on our X-scooters. I had some technical difficulty with my scooter mounted camera and didn't get too much video of the dive. This was an exercise in editing the video more than anything else.
